Pastor Jeff Iyonawan who is the Senior Pastor of Miracle Assembly has said that since the Edo APC Governorship candidate Senator Monday Okpebholo has presented himself as the one who will pioneer good governance in the state, he deserves the support of all Edo people.
He was speaking weekend when the group, Christians in Leadership for Societal Development and Arewa Pastors Association, facilitated by Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu gathered in a meeting to lend their unwavering support to Senator Monday Okpebholo, to win the September 2024 governorship election in Edo state.
According to Pastor Iyonawan, “Our commitment to good governance is unquestionable and nothing will shake it. And if this man has brought himself forth as one who will pioneer this and take Edo state to the next level and to greater heights, I think he is somebody we should support.”
Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu while introducing Senator Monday Okpebholo at the event described him as a child of God, who cares about orphans, widows, and the less privileged, who will bring about the much deserved change, “that we want in Edo state”.
He said, “As a Pastor I can tell you that this young man (Senator Monday Okpebholo) is a child of God. I know him, I can vouch for him. God wants to use this young man to do things that will bring joy to our people”.
Quoting from the Bible’s First Corinthians one verse 27, which says, ‘But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. said,’ Pastor Ize-Iyamu said God looks at the heart of man and of Senator Monday Okpebholo, his heart is good.
He said, “Senator Monday Okpebholo will by the grace of God bring about the most deserved change that we deserve in Edo state. The man who represents the New Edo that we are praying for; The man who carries God’s grace; The man who will cater for the orphans, for the widows and the less privileged”.
