2023: Obaseki’s Commissioner Kinsmen Dump PDP For APC In Edo [PHOTOS]

Kinsmen of Gov. Godwin Obaseki’s Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Monday Osaigbovo, on Wednesday, dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The Commissioner’s Kinsmen who were in their hundreds, were joined by those of the Labour Party (LP) to pitch tent with the APC.

In the ceremony which took placed at Obarenren community in Urhiere ward of Ovia North East Local Government Area of Edo state, saw the member of House of Representatives, Mr Dennis Idahosa on hand to receive the decampees.

The decampees included Aigbogun Osasere, former Vice Chairman of the PDP, Uhiere Ward, who also double as the Okaigele (Community youth head) of Uhiere, Tony Orhue, former PDP youth leader of the ward and Arthur Osagiede, LP Youth Leader who led hundreds of their followers to the APC.

Speaking on behalf of the decampees, Hon. Aigbogun Osasere said they are joining the APC because of the performance of the federal lawmaker.

He expressed regret that with their brother a serving commissioner in the state, the community have nothing to show for it.

Mr Oscar Aghedo, Ovia North East chairman of the APC, promised that the decampees would be given equal treatment as other members.

He promised to integrate them in committees at all levels of the party during the 2023 general elections.

Other members at the ceremony includes Hon. Dumez Ugiagbe, APC Candidate Edo State House Of Assembly Ovia North East Constituency 1, Hon. Charles Orosanye, amongst others.
