In a show of unwavering support, the people of Wards 02 and 03 in Ewohimi, Esan South East LGA, came out in droves to back the APC governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo, despite the rainy weather.
The massive turnout was seen as a rejection of the PDP candidate, Osagie Ighodalo, who hails from the same community. “Ighodalo is an emergency Ewohimi son,” the people declared, throwing their weight behind Okpebholo, whom they believe will bring the much-needed transformation to their community and the state at large.
Former APC National Chairman, Adams Oshiomhole, whose late wife was from Ewohimi, attended the rally and declared that he was “at home.” Oshiomhole highlighted the various development projects he had undertaken in Ewohimi, including roads and a hospital, during his time as governor of Edo State.
Okpebholo expressed his gratitude to the people of Ewohimi for their unwavering support, despite the PDP candidate’s local ties. He assured the community of his commitment to a massive transformation, not only in Ewohimi but across Edo State.
The resilience and political acumen of the Ewohimi people have once again been demonstrated, as they firmly stand behind the APC candidate, showcasing their belief in his ability to deliver on his promises and bring about the much-needed development to their area and the state.
