Dear Governor Godwin Obaseki,

Let me start by thanking you for your sincere governance towards the good people of Edo State. May the Almighty God continue to strengthen you and your family and our dear state, Edo.

Your Excellency, I write to you with a deep sense of passion, pure patriotism and good intent for Edo State. As the days go by, we draw closer to the end of your administration. Edolites will remember you for your strong will in governance, notable, your sincere generosity for monthly salaries payment.

Mr. Governor, the good people of Etsako Central has been affected by flood over the past three weeks and I can authoritatively tell you that, most of them have been surviving through individual donations and support. No goods is going there and no one is going out except those carrying food and other things to help the victims affected with flood.

My dear Governor, I trust, you would not allow the people God entrusted to you and those who voted for you to perish, as there is serious hunger, starvation, sick people and others in Etsako Central due to their inability to get food, good water, healthcare, others. You will not be happy if i show you some scenes from Ekperi-Udaba, Anegbette, Osomegbe, Ofukpo, Agbabu, Ifeku,Yelwa, Ukpeko Communities and others, All in Etsako Central LGA of Edo State, that has been submerged by flood completely going to a month now. No Government attention of any kind since this incident happened have been shown, as your silence is not longer golden at this moment sir.

Mr. Governor, I think what is missing in your government so far, is appropriate action to mitigate flood. Currently, there is no flood management policy in Edo State and if there is, you will agree with me that, they’re inactive.

Mr. Governor, even if, Edo State won’t remember you for anything, for the sake of innocent souls, please help Etsako Central at this very trying time. You can provide food items like; Rice, Beans, Oil, Yam, Indomitable and others.

The time is now to make the bold step and leave Edo State with the lasting legacy of a good, proven, trusted, capable and experienced successor, Comr. Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole.
