APC’s Fani-Kayode Reveals “Best Decision” PDP Has Made

The Director New Media of the Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu presidential campaign, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Thursday said “the best decision” that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has made is to suspend its campaign until they settle with the group loyal to Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that feelers emerged on Wednesday that the PDP has rescheduled its presidential campaign rallies for Kebbi and Zamfara states indefinitely. The decision was reportedly to pacify aggrieved Wike and his loyalists. But the Director of Strategic Communications of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council, Dele Momodu, subsequently debunked the story.

Still, Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, took to social media to mock his former party.

“Though they keep denying it, the best decision that the PDP has made is to suspend its campaign until they settle with the Wike group. Outside of that I fear for them going into this battle. It would be like a featherweight going into the ring with a super heavyweight,” Fani-Kayode wrote on his verified Twitter handle.

“Their defeat would be so crushing and devastating that they may fall into a coma and never recover from it. Worse still the whole thing would only last for a few seconds and the audience would not get their money’s worth. There would be no joy or entertainment in that.

“No-one wants to fight a man that only has one leg. To make it a clean and hard fight let them come together and join ranks so that when we defeat them before the world and remove their soiled pants they will have no excuses.”
