In a display of grassroots leadership and political engagement, Chief Oshiobugie Ahmed recently hosted an influential gathering for APC leaders, executives and members of Ward 1 in Auchi, Etsako West Local Government Area. The event, held at his residence, aimed to foster unity, address pressing political issues in the community and chart a course for sustainable development politically within Auchi
The gathering brought together key stakeholders, including community leaders, youth representatives, and local executives, all of whom share a common vision for advancing the political and socio-economic development of Auchi community.
In his opening remarks, Chief Ahmed expressed his gratitude and deep commitment to fostering inclusive growth and ensuring that the voices of Auchi is heard politically globally. He used the opportunity to call call on all Auchi sons and daughter at home and in diaspora to become politically involved as Auchi has great potentials. “Our community holds immense potential and it is only through collaboration and collective effort that we can realize it,” Ahmed said.
The event provided a platform for open discussions on critical issues, mostly centered on political advancement in Auchi. Participants shared ideas and presented actionable strategies to address these challenges.
One of the highlights of the event was a keynote address delivered by a APC leader in Auchi, Alhaji Jim Garuba, who commended Chief Ahmed’s initiative and emphasized the importance of unity in achieving community goals politically.
The gathering also featured discussion session where attendees brainstormed and proposed solutions to pressing issues such as how to advance Auchi politically, how to woo Auchi’s sons and daughters to participate more in politics, how to generate funds for political movements, how to make politics interesting to Auchi indigenes anywhere in Nigeria and diaspora.
The creation of political social media groups where everyone can converse, educating Auchi indigenes worldwide about politics, nurturing Auchi youth to become future leaders, and many other issues that impact Auchi’s All Progressive Congress were among the proposals put forth to make all of these a reality.
The chairman of ward one, Alhaji Giwa Jabiru assured that all Auchi youth in Ward One and Auchi in general are ready to key into issues discussed as they all crave for the change and want Auchi repositioned better politically so that Auchi can becomes very relevant in the scheme of things
Chief Ahmed, in his closing remarks, assured attendees of his unwavering commitment to working alongside community members to implement the proposed initiatives. He also expressed gratitude for the active participation and solidarity demonstrated by all present.
Notable personalities present at the event include, Auchi Development Foundation President, Prince Dr. Nasiru Ikharo, Hon. Chief Musa Yakubu Oshiorenua, Ali Shaka Marvel, Chief Eng. Ridwan Ikharo, Daudu of Ughidane Village, Hon. Aruna Aliu, Daudu of Oki village and a host of others. Everyone in attendance agreed that the meeting was a significant step towards promoting community-driven development politically and strengthening grassroots governance in the area.
The event concluded with a communal meal, symbolizing the unity and shared purpose of the community. Attendees left with renewed hope and determination to build a stronger, more prosperous Ward 1 and Auchi in Etsako West Local Government Area.
