Mary Onoge Omokhagbor, the CEO of Okpella TV, has been recognized as the Female Media Personality of the Year at the prestigious Miss Afemai Beauty Pageant 2024.
A highly respected media executive from Okpella, Edo State, Nigeria, Mary was born in Badagry, Lagos State, to Pastor and Mrs. Thomas Omokhagbor.
With a solid educational background in Music Technology, Broadcast Journalism, and Mass Communication, Mary has made significant strides in the Nigerian media industry. Her passion for advocacy led her to establish Okpella TV, a platform dedicated to amplifying the voices of the underserved.
Among her numerous achievements, Mary has successfully organized fundraising efforts for individuals with disabilities, such as Naishat Mustafa, a remarkable girl born without arms, and Peter, who suffers from a dislocated knee.
She has also spearheaded initiatives like the annual free Christmas party for children in Okpella and various cultural promotion activities, inspiring countless youth in her community to discover their purpose.
Mary’s influence extends beyond Edo State as Okpella TV continues to make waves in other regions.
Recently, she added to her credentials by earning a Master’s Degree in Mass Communication from Edo University Iyamo, further solidifying her role as a trailblazer in the media landscape.
