The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Esan Central Local Government Area, Ward 8, Monday, suspended its Chairman, Mr Awo Jatto, for breaching party Constitution, Misappropriation of Party Funds and sundry other Offences.
19 of the 27 members of the EXCO signed the suspension notice, with all but one of the principal office holders signing. Those who signed the suspension order included, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Financial Secretary, Woman Leader, Youth Leader, Ward Auditor, Legal Adviser, among others.
The Party Executive in the Ward unanimously elected Mr Austin from Ukhiodo to act as Chairman of the Ward for Three Months in the first instance. This would be the first time anyone from Ukhiodo, in the Ward, would be holding the position Chairman.
Explaining their rationale the Party Exco said that since they are clamouring for power shift to Edo Central from the majority Tribe of Benin in Edo State, it is nice to set example by giving power to so-called minority within the Ward.
Mr Austin Enadamen hails from Ukhiodo, in Ward 8 and is very matured and active in the party from the beginning of the Party in Nigeria.
