Edo Education Commissioner, Dr Paddy Iyamu Settles Electricity Bills for Irrua Technical College

The Edo State Commissioner of Education, Dr Emmanuel Paddy Iyamu on Thursday addressed the outstanding electricity bills owed by Irrua Technical College.

During the visit, Dr. Iyamu emphasized the significance of providing a conducive learning environment for students, stating that clearing the outstanding bills was essential for ensuring uninterrupted access to electricity in the college.

He praised the administration of Governor Monday Okpebholo for its unwavering commitment to enhancing the welfare of students across the state. “A productive learning atmosphere is fundamental for our students’ success,” he remarked.

In response to the commissioner’s efforts, Mrs. Juliet, the Principal of the college, expressed gratitude for the swift action taken. She shared that the school had been facing challenges due to power outages for over 2years, which hindered the students’ ability to study effectively.

Mrs. Juliet highlighted Dr. Iyamu’s compassion, noting that he took the time to engage with the staff and students, ensuring their concerns were heard. With the bills now settled, the college is optimistic about a brighter and more efficient academic environment.
