Edo Guber: Despite Impeachment, Shaibu Keep Giving Obaseki, Asue Sleepless Night

The political landscape in Edo State has been heating up as the governorship election draws near, with tensions rising between Governor Godwin Obaseki and his former deputy, Philip Shaibu.

Despite Shaibu being impeached as the Deputy Governor of Edo State, he continues to pose a significant challenge to Obaseki and his handpicked PDP candidate, Asue Ighodalo.

Shaibu, who is known for his outspoken nature and grassroots support, has been a thorn in the side of Obaseki and Ighodalo, causing them sleepless nights as they try to secure a victory in the upcoming election. Shaibu’s popularity among the people of Edo State, particularly in rural areas, has made him a formidable opponent, despite his impeachment.

Shaibu’s refusal to go down quietly has added an extra layer of complexity to an already tense political situation in Edo State. His continued presence in the political arena has forced Obaseki and Ighodalo to reassess their campaign strategies and work harder to win over voters.

As the election date approaches, it remains to be seen how Shaibu’s presence will impact the outcome of the race.

One thing is for certain, however – despite being impeached, Shaibu is not going down without a fight, and he continues to give Obaseki and Ighodalo sleepless nights as they vie for the governorship of Edo State.
