In a fiery speech at the APC Ward to Ward Campaign in Iguobazuwa, Ovia South West, former Edo State Governor Adams Oshiomhole took aim at the current governor, Godwin Obaseki. Oshiomhole boldly stated that Obaseki is not the “Executive Governor” the people deserve, but rather a “MOU Governor” who has failed to execute meaningful projects during his tenure.
“Godwin Obaseki is not an Executive Governor,” Oshiomhole declared to the enthusiastic crowd. “He has only signed MOU after MOU, but has not executed a single project that has benefited the people of Edo State.”
In contrast, Oshiomhole praised Senator Monday Okpebholo, who is running for governor, stating that he will be an “Executive Governor” because he has already demonstrated his ability to execute projects as a Senator. “Senator Okpebholo is already executing projects as a Senator,” Oshiomhole said. “This is the kind of leader Edo State needs – someone who will hit the ground running and deliver tangible results for the people.”
Oshiomole added that Edo State deserves a leader who is committed to taking action and delivering on their promises, rather than one who is content with merely signing agreements without any real progress.
