Edo Guber: It’s Shameful For Ososo To Lack Basic Amenities, Says APC Governorship Candidate

In a scathing rebuke of the current state of affairs, the APC governorship candidate for Edo State, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has expressed his dismay at the lack of essential services in the Ososo community of Akoko Edo LGA.

Speaking during his ward-to-ward campaign tour, Okpebholo declared it “shameful” that the Ososo community continues to grapple with issues such as a lack of electricity, inadequate healthcare facilities, and poor infrastructure.

“It is unacceptable that a community as vibrant and deserving as Ososo has been neglected for so long,” Okpebholo said. “As your next governor, I will make it a priority to restore light to this community and ensure that our people have access to the basic amenities they deserve.”

Okpebholo also pledged to employ and adequately compensate teachers, respect traditional institutions, and provide soft loans to support local businesses, particularly the market women. Additionally, he vowed to address the deplorable state of the Okpella-Ososo road, which has long been a source of frustration for residents.

The APC candidate’s promises stand in contrast to the perceived failures of the current administration, led by Governor Obaseki, whom Okpebholo accused of neglecting the Akoko Edo area. He urged the people of Ososo not to be deceived by Obaseki’s “tactics” and to place their trust in the APC’s vision for a more prosperous and equitable Edo State.
