How APC Cabals Tried to Prevent Tinubu From Becoming Party Flagbeare

The National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (North-West), Mallam Salihu Lukman, on Tuesday, said some forces outside the APC made attempts to use former President Goodluck Jonathan and Governor of the Central Bank, Dr Godwin Emefiele to prevent Bola Tinubu from being chosen as the APC presidential candidate.

According to the Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), powerful forces tried to prevent Bola Ahmed Tinubu from running for the party’s presidential flagbearer. Despite these efforts, Tinubu’s candidacy went forward and ultimately secured the position.

Lukman stated, “There were those within and outside the party who sought to prevent Tinubu from contesting the presidential race. They feared the impact of his influence and believed it threatened their own interests.”

However, Tinubu’s supporters within the party fought to ensure that his candidacy was not sabotaged and he was given a fair chance to run. As a result of their efforts, Tinubu emerged victorious, sending a message that the party remains united and committed to its goals, despite any challenges that may arise.

The Vice Chairman emphasized, “Tinubu’s victory shows the strength of his influence within the party and reinforces our commitment to working together towards a common goal.”
