Inside The Three Million Naira Per Night London HoteI Where Wike And Atiku Met

Former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar and Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, after months of being at loggerheads, reunited on Thursday to resolve their differences.

This is coming after Atiku won the People Democratic Party (PDP) presidential primaries, while Wike emerged second, but the role played by some insiders in Atiku’s emergence as well as the subsequent selection of Delta State Governor, Ifeanyi Okowa, as his running mate is said to have pitched the Rivers Governor and the former Vice President against each other.

Spirited efforts by the leaders of the PDP to reconcile both men had failed to yield the desired results.

In photos that surfaced on social media, the duo held a meeting, which also involved the attendance of some governors elected on the platform of the PDP, at The Carlton Tower, Jumeirah, which is dubbed “One of London’s Top Luxury Hotels” by Forbes.

Although, the details of the meetings were not made known, it is strongly believed to be connected to reconciliation moves.

However, findings showed a night at the hotel where the party leaders had their luxury dinner costs as high as N3 million for the Royal Suite.

The hotel which is located at 1 Cadogan Place, London and owned by The Jumeirah Group, an Emirati state-owned global luxury hotel brand, was said to have undergone a $134 million (£100 million) renovation in 2019.

According to Forbes, the hotel’s “entry-level rooms feature many luxurious touches such as Dyson hairdryers, 55-inch widescreen HDTVs with high-definition streaming and device pairing, Nespresso Coffee machines and Fellow Stagg tea-making facilities, and valet boxes.”

Its flagship restaurant, Al Mare, offers modern Italian cuisine and traditional hotel breakfast that guests can enjoy in a relaxed and luxurious atmosphere.

Its equivalent in Nigeria is the Transcorp Hilton Abuja. Rooms at the hotel range from N104,500 for ‘Two Double Beds Guest Room’ to N587,068 for the ‘Executive Presidential Suite
