Etsako Central APC Chair, John Saliu, has vehemently denied rumors of his defection to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). In a statement, Saliu described the alleged defection as “laughable and comical,” stating that it was an attempt by “desperate politicians within the APC family to fabricate and promote falsehood.”
Saliu clarified that he remains a loyal member of the APC and the party chairman in Etsako Central Local Government Area. He expressed his unwavering support for the party’s gubernatorial candidate, Distinguished Senator Monday Okpebholo, and the deputy governorship candidate, Rt. Hon. Dennis Idahosa.
The APC chairman appealed to the public to disregard the defection rumors, emphasizing his continued loyalty to the party’s national leader, Senator (Comrade) Adams Oshiomhole, the state party chairman, Emperor Jarrett Tenebe, and the leadership of Etsako Central LGA.
Saliu assured that he would not be distracted by the “secret activities of some unfaithful party members in Etsako Central LGA.” He reiterated his commitment to the party’s goals and urged party members to stay focused on the upcoming gubernatorial election.
