In a swift response to the purported reinstatement of Mr. John Saliu as the All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Area (LGA) Chairman for Etsako Central, the party’s executive members have issued a strong statement dismissing the claim.
In a rejoinder signed by Capt. Philip Itsede (rtd), the acting LGA Chairman, Sule Aikabeli, the LGA Assistant Publicity Secretary, and Aminu Umaru, the LGA Secretary, the party executives have made it clear that the signatures used in the letter of reinstatement were forged and, therefore, of no effect.
The executives emphasized that the matter of Mr. Saliu’s indefinite suspension is still pending before the State Working Committee (SWC) of the APC, and the SWC has not yet reversed the earlier affirmation of the suspension.
Furthermore, the party leaders have stressed that the use of forged signatures is a judicial offense, rendering the purported reinstatement null and void.
The APC LGA executive members have called on the general public and party members to disregard the reinstatement claim, as it is not in line with the party’s internal processes and procedures.
This development highlights the ongoing internal dynamics within the APC in Etsako Central, as the party seeks to maintain its unity and resolve leadership disputes in a transparent manner.
