Wife of the Edo State Governor, Mrs Besty Obaseki has appealed to Nigeria Women to get involve in Politics in other to contribute their quota to the socio economic development of the State.
Mrs Obaseki stated this after receiving an award from the country vice president of FIDA, Mrs Amina Agbaje at cultural night organized by association in Benin City, Edo State.
She explained that women participation in politics will aid in fast tracking socio economic development in Nigeria.
Earlier in a remark, FIDA country vice president, Mrs Amina Agbaje applauded the Edo first lady, Mrs Besty Obaseki for being a role model worthy for emulation.
Mrs Agbaje who explained that FIDA was in Edo State to hold her Annual General conference will continue to provide support to the vulnerable in the society.
High point of the event was cultural display by some women group and entertainment of guests.
