The All Progressives Congress, APC and Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu are the People’s Democratic Party’s worst nightmares right now. Little wonder the very disorganized and confused party is attempting to create a false narrative surrounding a purported turmoil it has discovered within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State and trying albeit foolishly to link it with Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu.
This branded PDP narrative is clearly invented to amuse her perplexed godfather and its factional leaders. How can the APC campaign train which the PDP says is at its formation stage be in turmoil? This is not only misleading but downright false. It is common knowledge that political campaigns undergo meticulous planning and coordination. Since this is alien to the PDP, their plight can be excused.
Furthermore, the notion of a war between factions within the Edo State APC is baseless. The party is a more united party since the emergence of its Governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo. The party members, leadership and stakeholders right now including Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu are standing united behind the candidate, with no evidence of internal divisions or factions whatsoever. Any suggestion otherwise is purely speculative and lacks credibility.
The notion that an alleged exclusion of Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu from a prominent role in the party’s campaign train as reason for factions is another fabrication by the PDP. Senator Monday Okpebholo as the party’s gubernatorial candidate was a collective decision made by the party, not the result of personal vendettas or power struggles. Pastor Ize-Iyamu remains an integral part of the APC campaign, and does not need a title to contribute his quota to the coming victory of the party. There is no truth to claims that he threatened to withdraw his support from the party.
It is evident that these false narratives are a desperate attempt by the PDP to reproduce the seeds of discord and confusion within its ranks in the APC. However, their efforts are in vain, as the APC remains steadfast in its commitment to the people of Edo State and their aspirations for a better future.
Moreover, it’s worth noting the irony of the PDP’s accusations, considering their own recent controversies and internal strife. Instead of focusing on genuine issues affecting the state, they choose to engage in petty politicking and mudslinging, further eroding public trust in the political process.
In contrast, the APC is focused on delivering real solutions to the challenges facing Edo State, with Senator Monday Okpebholo leading the charge towards progress and development. The party’s campaign is built on a foundation of unity and commitment, values that resonate with the people of Edo State.
Edo voters are very vigilant against the misinformation and propaganda of the PDP. The future of Edo State will be decided based on facts, not fabrications. The locust years of the PDP in the Edo State Government House is ending and the APC remains unwavering in its commitment to unite Edo people, and together overcome any obstacles in our path towards a brighter tomorrow.
