Senate 2023: Gbas Gbos As Edo North APC Executives Denies Endorsing Oshiomole

Executive members of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Edo-North Senatorial District has discredited & dissociated themselves from the purported endorsement of Comrade Adams Oshiomole for Senate 2023.

A cross-Section of the Party Executives from Akoko-Edo, Owan-East, Owan-West, Etsako-East, Etsako-West and Etsako-Central who rose from a meeting in Auchi on Monday April 11th 2022, frowned at a frivolous news publication orchestrated by the Edo APC State Deputy-Chairman,Jarret Tenebe and one Alhaji Abubakar Akhokia Executives, where it claimed that APC Ward Executives in the 64 Wards endorsed Oshiomole during the Ex-national chairman of APC 70th birthday reception at Iyamoh on April 4th.

In it’s communique made available to Newsmen in Benin, signed by Mr. Francis Ozoya(Secretary Ward 3,Owan-East) and 24 other executives, they stated that APC party leaders,Executives and members were invited to Oshiomole’s 70th Birthday on Monday April 4th, But things took a sinister twist when motions and secondments were been raised to shift Senate from Etsako-East to Etsako-West and going by the zoning arrangements, it’s the turn of OWAN WEST.

For Oshiomole to jump into Senate 2023 race.. Efforts to challenge the sinister declaration was met with brutality on some party excecutives including Mrs.Oikelomen Alice(LGA Woman Leader, APC Owan-West).

By his Labour antecedents and Political Legacies of One-Man,One Vote, Oshiomole should not be identified with undemocratic fangs for depriving Party Executives the right to vote for their preferred candidate.

The meeting resolved that their own votes must count in the APC Primaries and that all aspirants should prepare for Primaries, rather than fathom endorsements.
Anyway ,the stage is now set for an epic battle as the incumbent Senator Francis Alimikhena has(afterward) gone round the Six LGAs last week to declare his 2023 Re-election bid.
