Edo Guber: Abudu Shutdown As Dr Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe Visits Orhionwon APC Leaders

Abudu was filled with excitement and joy as Dr Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, a former permanent secretary in the ministry of Agriculture and rural development, paid a visit to the APC leader in a carnival-like event.

Dr Umakhihe, who hails from Edo and has a strong connection to the region, expressed his gratitude for the warm reception. He shared his background, stating that he was born, raised, and educated in Benin City, Edo State.

Having served in various capacities throughout his career, he was appointed as permanent secretary in the ministry of Agriculture and rural development in 2018 by President Muhammad Buhari. Dr Umakhihe highlighted his track record of empowering people and expressed his desire to secure the APC ticket to further his work.

He emphasized the importance of using the abundant gas resources in Orhionwon, the local government area, to facilitate development. Dr Umakhihe also pledged to tackle the security challenges in the region with his expertise in the field.

In response, the leader of the local government, Rt Hon Patrick Aisowere, expressed their anticipation for Dr Umakhihe’s visit, citing his reputation for transforming lives and his dedication to empowering the people. They wholeheartedly believed that he was the right candidate to lead Edo State and the APC.
